Is it legal to marry a console? Sorry Hender! - I got a Nintendo Switch!

So yes, this week I got a switch. And I thought I'd share my thoughts on it, and how you should 100% buy one too.

I have always been a nintendo girl. I have had a 3DS since it first came out, and before that gameboys, normal DS'. I used to carry them in any school-college bag, because it was one of my ways of escaping life and normality. My top gaming being, Animal Crossing, which gave me a relaxing sense of companionship, and introduced me to a wider community, even creating my own.

What I love the most about the Nintendo Switch is it's multi-tasking ability. You can play it handheld, and connected to your TV, which is great for travel. I also like how the joysticks can be taken off, so when you do travel, it's compact and can fit into a bag perfectly. It also allows for games to have motion control, similar to the Wii U, or Xbox Kinect. However, I prefer to not be waving the joy sticks everywhere, but they can be utilized in multiplayer games I believe.

In terms of games, there is still a sparce collection of good quality nintendo games, however I am enjoying some of the games such as Splatoon 2 and Paladins. I've even played Fortnite, which I can see why some people may get obsessed. That's the thing with the switch, it's a tiny computer. Even my boyfriend Hender (find him here), has a very expensive gaming computer, and everything that has, this tiny console has, which is very impressive.

The only downside to it all is pricing. This is probably the most expensive console I have, alongside games being in the same price range as PS4, but +10% more. I always felt like Nintendo did good games for a lesser price, but in the past few years, the competition has grew, so so have their prices. An average game costs £49.99. Although, there are some games that cost less than £30, and there is a sale on the EShop at the moment. If anyone is reading, I'll take EShop cards for my birthday!

Would I recommend this? 100%. I'd say if you want a switch, it's definetly worth the money. However, don't impulse spend. Save up for one, as it's not worth not having money. I'd say save so you can buy the console and 2 games atleast. I found the games go for less on Ebay, however some games go for less on the EShop, rather than buying them in person.

Games I would recommend? Splatoon 2, Paladins, Fortnite and Mario Kart 8. These are games I currently have myself. I have heard The Legend of Zelda; Breath of the Wild is good, if you like Open World. Hender has his own switch, and he particularly enjoys Skyrim on the Switch, due to it's motion controls.

I hope in the future, there is an Animal Crossing game, or maybe introducing more games to it, such as The Last of Us (I wish!) or Call of Duty. This console is definitely the way forward in gaming, and if you have one, join some Switch communities and discussions, I would highly recommend to, especially before buying.

Meet my child; Sox the Spoodle!

So I've had this blog post planned for nearly 2 months now, but just haven't had a chance to fully write it. So here it is! Meet Sox!

Sox (pronounced; Socks) is the new addition to the Sunflower family! He was born on the 24th of February 2018, and joined our family on the 17th of April! He's not only my baby, he's very unique! He's an F1 Mini Spoodle! A spoodle is a mix between a springer spaniel (his mum) and a toy poodle (his dad), which I found so interesting! Especially since his pedigree name is "Salmon Bug", which is really unique and cool.

We found Sox via a facebook post, and the minute we saw him and his siblings we just knew he was meant to join our family. Me and my dad started discussing names, and my dad was very star wars themed which was....not okay! The first time we visited Sox, he was 6 weeks old and it was just a magical experience. Both of the dogs we've had before, I was either too young or it was a scary experience to meet them before they came home, but I loved them just the same. We met all the litter and we decided, the one that comes to us is the one we take home and here we have Sox! He was around 1kg when we got him at 6 weeks old, but now he is around 5 or 6kg at 4 months. He's the happiest, clever and most progressive puppy ever! I mean; look at this smile!

Why the name "Sox"?

Well, under his paws are "white" socks. He has a white beard, a white mallan strip, white paws, white breast and a white snippet on his tail. His socks were what stood out and we knew just from looking at him he was a Sox. I wanted "Socks" but apparently it wasn't "dog" enough, so everyone else voted on Sox. He truly suits his name more for the fact, he likes to steal socks too!

Sox is definetly an amazing addition to our family. He gets to grow with our kids, and grow with me. He's with me 24/7 and always aware of what is going on. He answers to cuddles and kisses, and you hear a strange noise? And he's ready to protect, while maintaining a innocent awareness.

AN ADULT WHO PLAYS ROBLOX? REALLY? - My top Roblox Games!

(picture header)

Yes, I am 20 years old and play Roblox, but I swear it wasn't a choice...

I used to play Roblox years ago, and then grew up. My niece who is 6 (and you can find her in my #NeiceLetsPlay youtube series) started playing it, and to ensure she was safe online, I started to play it with her. And not only can it be so much fun, it can be extra educational to those who wish to play games online as a starting point. Roblox is an online gaming server, which is a host to many types of games, including roleplays and fake remakes of real games. I have some personal favourites, and here they are! (In no particular order)

Fashion Famous is a dress up game, including a catwalk. Each level you are given a category, and then have to find clothes that may match that category to you. Afterwards you take part in a catwalk, which people then vote out of 5 stars how you did. At the end you get points and can level up until you're "Fashion Famous".

The reason I enjoy this game, is mainly because, well it's not only really cute, but it's really good for finding things, which I think can be really stimulating for children, like a treasure hunt. Plus, children can learn about the different fashions out there, maybe even help develop their own style. The only downside is, there are some super cute items, and sometimes people vote for the more attractive looks, rather than those that match the categories (which can be super annoying!)

Now this is my niece's absolute favourite game. Royale High is a roleplay based game, featuring 3 games within it. The main one, being "Royale High". Within it, you can become a royal or magical student, and play your way through lessons. The aim of it is to roleplay, and many youtubers out there create their own stories using the game. The downside is, not everyone roleplays, but rather just plays with their friends, not acting like they're in a fantasy world, although it can be major awkward roleplaying. It has a super fun and social aspect, and it also has some educational aspects, such as spelling, typing and creating patterns, which for my niece is amazing, and she has learnt some big things from it!

Murdery Mystery 2 takes a different toll compared to the ones I've already shown. This is basically a version of "Wink Murderer" and "Cluedo". The basics of the game are someone is chosen as the murderer, and someone is chosen as the sherriff, the other players are called "Innocents" meaning they'll be killed or survive. The murderer must go around killing innocents, and try to kill the sherriff, without getting killed themselves. I really enjoy this game, because well it's super addicting and leaves you on edge! The downside being, some people who are the murderers or sherriffs, walk round with their weapons ready to kill, and it can take away the suspense of wondering who is who.

I actually don't know if Survivor is a real tv show or film, but this game is truly amazing. Survivor is what it says it is, a group of people trying to survive on the island. It is played out, like a reality tv show, where people are voted or booted off for things, and people must complete activities to stay on the island. It's not only super fun, but has many brain training games, which can be hard but also super cool to play! The negatives of it are that if you join a server when people are already playing, you have to wait till it's over, and it could be anything from 5 minutes to 3 hours, as the game has many twists and turns within it! The owners of this game ALSO have a version of Big Brother!

What Roblox is known for best, is Obbys. Obbys are super fun, and require patience and exuberance to get through them. Basically there are over 1000 levels, and you have to try and get through them. There could be jumping over things, jumping on top of things, avoiding certain items, super fast speed challenges and more to go through.

The most I've ever exeeded is 100 levels I think? But it's great to play on your phone when out just to pass the time. I guess the only bad thing is, how annoying it is to lose? Or that it is a super long obby and you restart every time.

Do you play Roblox? Leave me a comment down below of your favourite games! I'm always looking for new games to play. And be sure to follow me on twitch and/or subscribe to my youtube to see me playing!
