Is it legal to marry a console? Sorry Hender! - I got a Nintendo Switch!

So yes, this week I got a switch. And I thought I'd share my thoughts on it, and how you should 100% buy one too.

I have always been a nintendo girl. I have had a 3DS since it first came out, and before that gameboys, normal DS'. I used to carry them in any school-college bag, because it was one of my ways of escaping life and normality. My top gaming being, Animal Crossing, which gave me a relaxing sense of companionship, and introduced me to a wider community, even creating my own.

What I love the most about the Nintendo Switch is it's multi-tasking ability. You can play it handheld, and connected to your TV, which is great for travel. I also like how the joysticks can be taken off, so when you do travel, it's compact and can fit into a bag perfectly. It also allows for games to have motion control, similar to the Wii U, or Xbox Kinect. However, I prefer to not be waving the joy sticks everywhere, but they can be utilized in multiplayer games I believe.

In terms of games, there is still a sparce collection of good quality nintendo games, however I am enjoying some of the games such as Splatoon 2 and Paladins. I've even played Fortnite, which I can see why some people may get obsessed. That's the thing with the switch, it's a tiny computer. Even my boyfriend Hender (find him here), has a very expensive gaming computer, and everything that has, this tiny console has, which is very impressive.

The only downside to it all is pricing. This is probably the most expensive console I have, alongside games being in the same price range as PS4, but +10% more. I always felt like Nintendo did good games for a lesser price, but in the past few years, the competition has grew, so so have their prices. An average game costs £49.99. Although, there are some games that cost less than £30, and there is a sale on the EShop at the moment. If anyone is reading, I'll take EShop cards for my birthday!

Would I recommend this? 100%. I'd say if you want a switch, it's definetly worth the money. However, don't impulse spend. Save up for one, as it's not worth not having money. I'd say save so you can buy the console and 2 games atleast. I found the games go for less on Ebay, however some games go for less on the EShop, rather than buying them in person.

Games I would recommend? Splatoon 2, Paladins, Fortnite and Mario Kart 8. These are games I currently have myself. I have heard The Legend of Zelda; Breath of the Wild is good, if you like Open World. Hender has his own switch, and he particularly enjoys Skyrim on the Switch, due to it's motion controls.

I hope in the future, there is an Animal Crossing game, or maybe introducing more games to it, such as The Last of Us (I wish!) or Call of Duty. This console is definitely the way forward in gaming, and if you have one, join some Switch communities and discussions, I would highly recommend to, especially before buying.
